50 lessons taken from the internationally recognized and validated NURTURING PARENTING PROGRAMS® are assembled in one Lesson Guide. Professionals teach parents of young children (birth – 5 years) and school-aged children (5 to 12 years) ways to improve their parenting skills.

The 50 individual Lessons are presented in 14 different Skill Areas known to represent the range of appropriate parenting and child rearing practices.

Each Lesson presents easy to follow, step-by-step instructions to teach the skills to the parents appropriate for the age level of their children. Skill Areas and Lessons can be taught in any sequence you choose based on the needs of the family.

Parent Handbook
Up-to-date information in an easy to read format for parents and parent educators. This is also an IDEAL book for any parent to use on their own to help build a healthy, happy family.

Optional materials are not required to teach the lessons, but greatly enhance the learning outcomes and quality of instruction.

Adult-Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI-2)
Two 40-item inventories (Form A and Form B) designed to assess the parenting and child rearing attitudes of adult and teen parents. Responses to the inventory provide an index risk in five parenting areas known to contribute to child maltreatment.

Nurturing Quiz
An informal inventory designed to assess the knowledge parents have of appropriate parenting practices. Two forms are available: one for parenting young children (birth – five years) and on for older school-age children (5 to 12 years).

Family Social History Questionnaire
Provides information regarding the parent’s personal background, childhood experiences and family demographics.

Video Series
