IMPORTANT: Organizational Trainers are limited to training current agency or organizational staff and new hires. This training does not prepare you to train participants outside your current organization.

What You Will Learn

Participants will engage in interactive, collaborative learning experiences focused on:

• Historical and current trends of child maltreatment
• Foundations, roots, and Core Constructs of the Nurturing Parenting® Program
• The Nurturing Parenting® Philosophy of Change
• Assessment processes and effective program implementation including utilizing the Adult Parenting Inventory® (AAPI 2.5) and the Nurturing Skills Competency Scale® (NSCS 3.1)
• Required Training Components of a 3-Day Facilitator Training
• Fidelity Measurement Tools
• Facilitation Practice and Skill-building
• Individual Consultation and Technical Support

Application Requirements for Consideration

• Successful completion of a 3-day Nurturing Parenting® Program Facilitator Training with a recognized National level Trainer/Consultant followed by 2+ years of experience facilitating the program with fidelity
• Proficiency in administering, scoring, and reporting the AAPI-2.5 and NSCS assessment tools (via AssessingParenting.com)
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Nurturing Parenting® philosophy in practice
• Current customer of Nurturing Parenting® Program materials via Family Development Resources, Inc. with an established AssessingParenting.com account

Process Steps:

• Complete of Organizational Trainer Candidate Application
• Submit a Letter of Recommendation from your direct supervisor or Board of Directors
• Phone Interview with approved workshop trainers

OT Candidates are selected upon the review of experience, assessment of performance during the orientation and training process.
